Scribing for a Dressage Judge 101

RIDE-A-TEST CLINIC
Opening date: March 20 Closing date: April 3
Practice your test(s) prior to our first schooling show on April 24 and 25! Each 30-minute session allows participants to ride their test(s) of choice, receive a written critique from the judge, work on key elements to improve their test scores, and if desired, re-ride the test.

Maximum of 10 riders per day.

A wait list will be maintained for riders in case of over subscription to the event.

Each 30 minute session is $30 (Includes use of the arena).

Open to all Western and Classical dressage riders

SCRIBING FOR A DRESSAGE JUDGE 101

-Want to learn what a judge is looking for during each of the various levels of dressage?
-Want to learn what the shorthand on your dressage test comments means?
-Want to gain a skill for volunteering at our shows?
This clinic is for you and the best news is it is FREE!
Saturday April 10:
-
9:30 - 11:30. Location: Spyglass Ridge Community Center. In the morning, Amber will describe the fundamentals of scribing, then we’ll practice scribing from videos, and discuss the resulting test comments.

1-4 PM. Location: Roy Yates Training. We will scribe with Megan Bretey as she judges during the Ride-a-Test clinic. We will discuss the judge’s comments on the tests while Megan works with each rider after their test. You are welcome to practice scribing on your own for the remainder of Saturday’s tests, and on Sunday April 11 during additional Ride-a-Tests.
