USDF Regional Schooling Show Awards Program

General Info

At the request of some of our members, the GVDS Board voted to register the four 2022 GVDS schooling shows in the USDF Regional Schooling Show Awards Program.

Through the USDF Regional Schooling Show Awards Program, opportunities for yearly awards and regional rankings abound for USDF Group Members who compete in non-USEF-licensed/non-USDF-recognized competitions. Rocky Mountain Dressage Society is our Group Member Organization (GMO) and every RMDS/GVDS member who rides classical dressage is eligible to participate.  Each program year, December 1 through November 30, USDF offers four award divisions (junior/young rider, non-professional, adult amateur and open) per USDF region.  We are in Region 5.

Program Outline

Any rider who is interested in participating should read the rules in the above link, but here are a few highlights:

  • The rider must be an RMDS/GVDS member at the time the score is earned. https://www.rmds.org/member/register

  • The horse's owner does not need to be a USDF GMO member.

  • The horse must have at least a USDF Horse Identification Number at the time the scores are earned. https://www.usdf.org/Join/horse.asp
